The LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce Foundation awards scholarships to build leadership and promote diversity in the communities. Scholarships may be used for any postsecondary education, including nontraditional/alternative programs and vocational training.
Applicants must provide proof they are a resident of Texas. Applicants are considered a "resident" if they:
- currently live in Texas and have done so for at least three months before the application deadline; or
- have lived in Texas for at least one year at any time within the five years before the application deadline; or
- have lived in Texas for more than one year at any time and have been continuously enrolled in an accredited academic institution for the five years before the application deadline.
Applicants may study at any accredited school or certificate program. However, preference may be given to those studying in Texas and/or North Texas.

All scholarship applicants are required to provide two (2) reference forms; at least one from a teacher, counselor, or other academic representative.

The LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce Foundation Leadership Institute is designed to identify, develop, and elevate emerging professionals and business owners. Graduates of the program have demonstrated a commitment to personal growth, community engagement, and business leadership within the Foundation ecosystem.
The program provides historical perspective of the community and the equality movement, enhances leadership skills, and prepares the next generation of diverse leaders for greater community engagement.
Selected participants will meet once a month for 9 months, September - May.
